The phrase "in-house" simply refers to the ministries listed below that support community and spiritual growth within the walls of Southside Christian Fellowship (SCF). They foster community and offer opportunities for families to interact with their church community; get involved on a greater level or otherwise participate in corporate ministry. If you are a member or visitor of SCF, feel free to inquire concerning learning more. Those ministries and a brief description of each are listed below:
FAST LANE KID'S CLUB
Jarrod & Amy Thorpe
The bible tells us “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will never depart from it”. Here at Southside Christian Fellowship we believe that this is not only a command but also a promise of the Lord. Our children will be triumphant when they truly see the power of Christ. The same Holy Spirit that resides within us is also the same spirit that is in our children. It is our job as parents to not only teach children the word of God, but also provide for them the opportunity to experience God’s awesome power and love.
Our Goals at F.A.S.T Lane Kids Club:
To perfect and equip our children for God’s service through the five ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.P rovide every opportunity for our children to see and participate when the Holy Spirit moves.
HIDDEN ORACLES WRITING GROUP
Theresa Harvard Johnson, Group Leader
1 Peter 4:11 KJV says, "If any many speak, let him speak the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth; that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen."
The purpose of this writing group is to help the members of Southside Christian Fellowship who believe they have books tucked away on the inside of them -- whether administrative, instructional or creative - "unlock" the hidden treasures from the innermost part of Adonai's sanctuary -- a man's heart. PRAYER WARRIORS OF SCF
April Dodgens, Group Leader
The Prayer Warriors are a group of people who have taken up the call to follow the instructions in Ephesians 6:18 & James 5:16 to pray for all the saints (our brothers and sisters in Christ). We are also fulfilling our priestly duties as Christ fulfills His in Romans 8:26-27, Romans 8:34, & Hebrews 7:25 to intercede for others.
So please bring your compassionate and interceding heart, and join us as we pray for others in need, lifting their needs up before the throne of the Most High God, our Father, and our Daddy. The One who was, and is, and is to come. We have all been called to intercede, so joins us, and bring the Kingdom of God into other people's lives.
If you would like to receive prayer requests, or need prayer for you or someone you know please email or call April.
